Have you always wondered what it is like to breathe underwater?
The PADI Discover Scuba Diving Course is the perfect quick & easy introduction to the fun & adventure of scuba diving & it ONLY takes 4 hours!

After a brief lecture on the basic safety rules & skill techniques required for scuba diving, you will head straight to the pool, where you will find out what it is like to breathe underwater for the first time! Once you have mastered key skills in the swimming pool and discovered how easy it is to move around underwater with your gear. It is off to the ocean for a sea dive & discover the underwater world.

If you would like to continue exploring the spectacular reefs & marine life you can purchase a diving package which will allow you to enjoy numerous shore dives, shallow boat dives & the popular seal dive during your stay in Plettenberg Bay (this qualification is valid for 2 weeks).
Plus, you can get credit!
Your ocean dive & skills that you will have mastered in the pool during this program will count towards the PADI Open Water Diver certification.

DURATION & WHAT TO EXPECT:
4 hours (Meeting time 12h30)
On arrival you will be met by one of our PADI Instructors where you will check in & be issued the PADI Discover Scuba Diving Booklet. Time will be spent reviewing the essential skills & basic safety rules required for scuba diving before being issued your diving equipment. It is then a short walk to the on-site swimming pool which is where you will find out what it’s like to breathe underwater for the first time. This shallow safe environment is the perfect place to learn how to swim around with scuba gear & master the key skills required for the ocean dive. After the pool session you will have a short break to recharge your cylinder before heading our on an ocean dive to explore the beautiful reefs of Plettenberg Bay.
